This is the official presentation of one of the two vein viewers that the Group were delighted to be able to purchase for the direct benefit of liver patients in Northern Ireland last year. This device enables a nurse or clinician to identify a suitable vein in order to obtain a blood specimen from a patient with very challenging veins. This significantly minimises the number of attempts to try and obtain a blood specimen. Clearly the potential for this device to improve patient experience and to ensure clinical time can be used more efficiently is massive. This is one of the many pieces of equipment purchased by the Group in 2017-2018.
