At 4 weeks old it was suspected that Thomas had the condition Biliary Atresia. At 6 weeks old it was confirmed that Thomas had the condition and he had a Kasai Procedure performed by Mr Khalid Sharif and the amazing team at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Liver Unit. Thomas is now 6 months old, is fit and healthy, and loves bossing his two older brothers about. We don’t know what the future holds for Thomas, but it is highly likely that he will rely on a donor to save his life some day.
