Right now in Ireland, over 600 people are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant — including more than 500 hoping for a kidney.
Thanks to the generosity of 84 deceased donors and 30 living kidney donors, 263 transplants took place in 2024:
• 175 Kidneys
• 53 Livers
• 16 Hearts
• 15 Lungs
• 4 Pancreases
Behind every number is a story of hope, courage, and second chances. Many people need a transplant because of genetic conditions like cystic fibrosis, a heart defect, or polycystic kidney disease.
